shortchanged at grand army plaza greenmarket

has anyone else experienced being shortchanged 5 cents or 10 cents from the cashiers at the largest booth w/ fruits/veggies at the grand army plaza greenmarket? i think they might be nepalese or tibetan. not sure.

the firs time, i thought it was a simple mistake, but then it happened again today.

gonna call them on it the third time around.

Yes. But I've also noticed how sometimes they shortchange themselves 5 or 10 cents just to make it easier. I figure for me that it balances out. If it bothers you, you should say something.

i've noticed them charging me less than the scale says more often than more.

Seconded. Happens both ways, and I agree it usually evens out in the end.

Yep, and it's at most of the stands. They are often swamped and just round to an easy amount for change. I've actually ended up paying a nickel to a quarter less than the price many times because of this, and seemingly less often, paid that amount extra.

Since most people seem to pay with dollars and rarely cents, I think it would be almost impossible for them to bring enough change to give exact change during a busy day like today.
