On Sunday, April 11, at 2:00 p.m., Friends of Woodlawn Cemetery hosts Pulitzer: A Life in Politics, Print, & Power, an author’s talk by James McGrath Morris about one of this country’s most notable and celebrated media personalities: Joseph Pulitzer.
The book traces the epic story of Pulitzer’s rise through American politics and into journalism where he accumulated tremendous power and wealth – completely transforming the media. Mr. Morris will sign personal copies of the book, available for purchase during the talk. $10 per person, $5 for seniors & students, children under 6 are free

WHERE: The Woodlawn Cemetery, Webster Avenue & E. 233rd Street, Bronx, NY 10470; Woolworth Chapel, just inside the Jerome Avenue entrance (near Bainbridge Avenue, across the street from the last stop on the #4 train)
GETTING THERE: The Woodlawn Cemetery is the last stop on the IRT #4 train. The cemetery is also accessible from the Metro North Railroad Harlem Line (Woodlawn Station). For those traveling by car, Woodlawn can be reached from the E. 233rd St. exit off the Major Deegan (#13) and the Bronx River Parkway (#10).
