I am curious as to how an entire thread is removed. Were rules broken? Can anybody who initiates a topic have it removed?

It does seem strange. Was it removed because it might be used as evidence in a landlord-tenant eviction dispute?

I'm not sure why a OP would "own" a thread. All because it doesn't go the way the OP wants, he shouldn't have the right to remove it. Especially if advice is given that doesn't benefit the OP BUT might benefit somebody else.

I am not a lawyer, not even a particularly good writer, but I have a lot of experience in LL/Tenant relationships, legal and otherwise. If being critical of a member of some sort of "inner circle" of Brooklynian will result in removal then I'm not going to waste my time.

There are certainly many times that a poster has taken considerable abuse and lumps (myself included) from the community without requesting a restart.

The use of that thread for some sort of legal leverage by the tenant, except for advice given for free legal advice for artists is absurd. This is a civil case and the tenant would have to pay for any discovery (thousands?) of IP addresses or whatever . On top of that nothing was revealed by OP that wasn't common knowledge among the parties.
