Tonight will be another wonderful night of music and the official kick off of the "On Some Other Sh#t" music series featuring artists who dwell outside of the box on and redefine what people consider music. They are constantly pushing the envelope and transforming into beings sometimes they themselves don't recognize but do it all for the sake of giving birth to their creations. One must be brave to step out into a world where society does not allow much room for different let alone eccentricity. My goal is to create a space for artists to come, flourish, and share their new ideas/concepts and teach us some new Sh#t....

For the early birds I (Nucomme) will be introducing some new works from 8-9pm warming up the room up for our featured hip-hop artist Umi. Tonight will be the first introduction to Hip-Hop making its first splash at The Pond its going to be an exciting night of music and genres colliding.

Umi a creative musician with an insightful sound that has been practicing and performing since 8 years old. He has brought forth numerous works with Prisoners of War and The Peoples Army/RBG FAM (dead prez) and now introduces his solo works. In his respective career, he has opened for or shared the stage with The Roots, Dave Chapelle, Mos Def, Styles P, Method and Red Man, Maceo Parker, Busta Rhymes, Young Bloods, Dead Prez, David Banner, and Erykah Badu just to name a few.

Stick around after the show cause were gonna take you back to the good old New York days where the city actually never slept. I have the spectacular DJ Fazui on the 1's and 2's helping you to sweat out those toxins. He specializes in house music but can mash up any record he plays..So come and see us tonight and let the party continue...
