PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT

At its Thurs., April 22 meeting, the Albemarle Neighborhood Association (ANA), will feature Lance Abrams of the NYC Department of Finance, describing how Finance arrives at valuations for privately owned homes, condos and coops. Finance's procedure is to release tentative assessments in January and unchallenged finalized versions in May. The property tax year begins July 1.

The ANA meeting will take place from 7-8 p.m. at the Flatbush & Shaare Torah Jewish Center, 327 E. 5th Street, corner of Church Avenue. (Please use wheelchair-accessible entrance on the ground floor.) All members and nonmember visitors are welcome (free). Refreshments will be provided by Foodtown and ANA.
