Subject: stolen dog
Don't ever tie your dog outside of a store or anywhere else that someone isn't with it. I'm so sorry it was taken, but some people have no morals what so ever. I hope you get it back very soon. -
set up a reward and than when they show up for it, don't give them a dime. pet kidnapping is very common in nyc. and they know people will fork over money.

Keep checking with all of the rescue groups, vet's offices and the ASPCA several times a week. Be vigiliant. They may not check for microchips and your dog could end up listed as a lost dog with an uncertain future.
Also, did you put up pictures and info all around the area the dog was taken as well as your neighborhood? Someone may recognize the dog and contact you.
My fingers are crossed that you get him back quickly.
Good luck.
Howdy, Stranger!
