Support Our Shelves Donations for Brooklyn Publi
The Brooklyn Public Library (and its branches) offer solace, great programs and is a great place. They also take book donations (check out their list of "dos and don'ts) and distribute to the branches for sale and use. There are also volunteer jobs (you can even come up with your own!).

As we face a potential budget cut that could devastate our ability to provide Brooklynites with the books, DVDs and other materials they need, we need your help more than ever. From now through May 31, please donate the amount that is best for you to help us reach our $500,000 goal. You can donate at your library, by phone or online. Or contribute $10 by texting BOOKS to 50555. Visit our website for more information.
Learn about an upcoming reading group at Central Library. Find out how you can get a job with the United States Census. It’s all on our blog No Shush Zone. Don’t forget to leave us a comment!
