Seriously disrupts my plans for going outside to smoke tho...
  • Crazy storm. Never seen hail so big landing in NYC.

Tornadoes, and now hail...why do I have a bad feeling about this winter.
  • holy crap. for a moment there i was sure we were in for another tornado.

dime sized hail bombarded us for a solid minute - i'm really hoping my car is OK

  • there is the equivalent of 1/2" of hail in PH
  • My place is flooded due to an open window and my block is a RIVER!!! So Shit! A epic Flood down the street!

    What was that!?!
  • The hail just cracked my bedroom window. Dammit! Was this another tornado?
  • Yeah - afraid to look at my car tomorrow
  • Holy CRAP what the hell is this !!!!!

I never seen anything like this in NY before and i been here all my life.
  • Hail drift.

A pile of hail blown by wind into corner. About 4" deep. Note how hail pile is more than 2 bricks high

  • That was completely insane. I was sure my windows were going to break.
  • Window? I have a glass skylight! I amazed it is still intact.
  • It was fucking insane!!
  • Hahaha there is a convertible parked across the street and it is WRECKED.

So you're saying that objects in PH appear twice as large as theY are in PS? Interesting.
  • It's like we live in the middle of some kind of science experiment lately.

Parts of 4th Ave. are flooded to the point that people can't cross the street and some business, such as Natural Plus at St. Mark's almost have water in the doorway.

I am referring to the amount of accumulation, not the size of the individual hail :D/

Our hail is the size of the stuff on Slopeduder's hand

    Al Gore must be psyched!
  • my block is still a river..
  • There's hail on my bedroom floor that blasted in through the air conditioner vent.
  • Holy balls!! I was driving home on Atlantic and I had to just stop and sit there while I got pummled by hail, feeling like any second a t-rex was just going to grab my whole car and eat me alive like jurassic park or something! And boy were the streets, especially the corner of 4th/9th, like rivers! holy crap.
  • I saw the Clouds of Doom coming in from the south-west when we were approaching LGA from the Hudson around two hours ago. When the cab hit Vanderbilt Ave and Atlantic, the sidewalks all the way out to the street looked like the Zambezi.
  • MOARRRRRRR!!!!

loved to see the douchey convertible filled with hail.
  • did that convertible have a roof over it when the storm started?
  • I want to say yes but I am not sure. who the hell would leave the roof down overnight? THe owner came and is cleaning the ice out of it right now heh.
  • Next up: A plague of locusts, I assume.
  • disaster at my place. 2 feet of water rushed through the garden level. I'm sure i'm not the only one. Live just off vanderbilt so i'm aussuming it was water running down hill with no where to go. Good times.
