Crazy Vintage bikes in the South Slope
There is a guy on 8th ave between 17th and 18th streets with about 20 amazing and elaborately restored vintage bikes. The really great ones are not for sale, but if you are into that type of thing they're really interesting to see. He also had a few less awesome but decent used bikes which he is selling. I bought a funky 1970's three speed for a good price, had it checked out and was told that the rehab of the mechanical aspects was done very well.
He said he'll be out every saturday and sunday until the end of the summer...it's like a free bike museum and worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood
