I was walking on 11th Street between 5th and 6th in fabulous Greenwich Village on Tuesday. Passing me in the other direction was a man of about 40, wearing a sport jacket and and shoulder-strap briefcase, and talking on his cellphone. I overheard him ask the person on the other end, "So, are you coffeeable later?"

Coffeeable. Sheesh.
