Calling all Prospect Heights Tree Huggers!
CALLING ALL PROSPECT HEIGHTS TREE HUGGERS
We all need to step up to the plate to care for our small share of the “urban forest”. The Prospect Heights Community Forest Initiative’s mission is to create an organizational framework that will ensure every block has the requisite resources to care for its street trees. The Prospect Heights Community Forest Initiative is ready, willing and able to do the following:
•Provide your block association with the names and e-mail addresses of like-minded and helpful neighbors;
•Encourage your block association and other block associations to undertake periodic tree care events;
•Furnish your block with cultivators, trowels, shovels, mulch, compost, a water wagon, certified tree pruners and even helpful neighbors from other blocks;
•Advise you of special events, training sessions, and workshops that may be useful to you in caring for your block’s street trees.
To accomplish this we need to know your home address and your e-mail address. Once this information is obtained we will be able to move ahead with this very important community initiative. Be assured that our e-mail listing will not be used for any purpose other than to facilitate communication among the residents of Prospect Heights in caring for its street trees.
