Big Songs of Summer 2010 — Brooklynian

Big Songs of Summer 2010

It appears that Brooklyn's own (well, living here now, anyway...) Grizzly Bear appears to have one:

Is it me, or is this just The Beach Boys all over again?

What else?

  • Speaking of repetitive, upper-register, simple piano chord melodies...

There's another song that has a reggae (perhaps with a little dub) feel to it that's been around for a few months but lately is heard allllll over Brooklyn blasting with windows rolled down.

Can't remember the name, but it was in some radio station's top 5 this week, according to when I was flipping around the dial in my own car the other evening.

Can't remember the name, though. Same type of repetitive progression of upper-register, simple piano chords, but with more of a reggae flavor.

It's *everywhere*...if you've heard it you'll know exactly what I'm talking about, as it's getting more and more play by the week.

    Anyone?
  • yes, this sounds like the beach boys

    but it's an awesome song
  • ricky blaze.. im sure youll hear plenty of remixes and such

    MOD NOTE: embedded below...

  • mr. met - Totally. And perfect for summer, as were (and still are, to some)
