Groups for expectant mothers?

You can go to Boing Boing on 6th Avenue and Union and register in their mothers group book, although I think that is more for mothers and not expectant. You could register for Lamaze classes at Methodist and meet people that way. Or you could join Park Slope Parents and post that you are looking to meet other expectant mothers. Once the baby arrives, it will be easy to meet other sleep deprived parents (especially when your friends without kids suddenly disappear!) Just go to the playgrounds and you will meet lots of people (some you would rather not meet!). The first three months of motherhood is pretty lonely and you will find that people will be VERY friendly looking for adult conversation and advice and comradierie.
