The reason Hitler is so easy is not just because he's so infamous. It's because Wikipedia is mostly written by Americans, and the typical American perspective on history is that World War II is the most important thing that has ever happened. So the article for just about any geographic location, company, trend or phenomenon has a "history" section that is typically divided into eras that include "World War II" as a heading.
