Hi, a lot of people have been asking about what we're looking for, so here's the info:

We’re seeking writers of fiction, memoir or poetry.

Ideally, writers should have some publishing credits – articles, essays, poems or fiction, online or in print.

Prior reading experience is a plus, though not required.

Please include a short bio in your email, including a list of credits and venues (if any) where you’ve appeared.

Writers who have not published books should note that preference is given to emerging writers in the Crown Heights, Prospect Heights, and Bed Stuy areas.

Please email writing samples, as Word attachments, to [email protected]. Poets should send at least 3 poems, short fiction writers an entire story, and memoirists a first chapter or personal essay. Unpublished novelists should submit first chapters. Writers with published books should provide hard copies – please email us for the address.
