Is Prospect Lefferts Gardens safe at night?

I just moved to Prospect Lefferts Gardens in the area from Bleecker to Fenimore off of Flatbush, just along the park. I will be working soon and coming home late at night (around 12am). What is the neighborhood like at that time, since I haven't been out that late yet? Just concerned since I'm new here. Any thoughts would help! Thanks!

You shouldn't have any problem although, like anywhere in the City, you should be aware of your surroundings when you walk home late [i.e. don't be absorbed with cell phone conversations, iPods, etc.].

I've lived in PLG for over 35 years--IMO it's always been one of the safest Brooklyn brownstone neighborhoods.
