Park Slope Rock School Fall Semester starts Sept 18th!
Park Slope Rock School is starting it's fall semester on September 18th and registration is still open! Now in it's third year, PSRS has been growing fast and is quickly becoming a fixture in the Park Slope Community.
Park Slope Rock School offers students aged 8-16 the chance to practice and perform rock music in a positive, interactive and exciting environment, regardless of ability level. From the first day of class through the end of the semester, our students are making music as a band, learning the basics of playing and performing rock music in a collaborative setting. Our curriculum incorporates various elements of rock composition and performance, with lessons focusing on rhythm, chord progressions, improvisation, instrument technique and stage presence.
With weekly band rehearsals and the opportunity for small group and private instruction, Park Slope Rock School helps students develop their talents individually, all while contributing to the larger band concept. Our semester includes master classes with professional musicians, photo shoots, recording sessions and a rockin’ final show at a New York City rock venue. We are continually amazed by our students passion, creativity and, most importantly, their ability to rock out!
PSRS' founder is also available for private lessons on piano (all levels) and guitar (beginner), specializing in contemporary music styles.
