PRAYER VIGIL FOR
Bicyclist
JASMINE HERRON

On September 11th 2010, Jasmine Herron was riding her bicycle on Atlantic between Clinton and Washington Avenues; a motorist opened the car door and knocked Jasmine Herron age 23 into the path of on coming traffic. Unfortunately the B45 bus hit Jasmine, thus killing her.

Jasmine Herron was an only child from Denver, Colorado and is survived by her mother. Jasmine would have been going home in 2 weeks. We are asking all bikers to ride their bikes in tribute of Jasmine Herron and her family.

DATE: Saturday, SEPTEMBER 25th 2010
TIME: 8:00 PM
WHERE: ATLANTIC AVENUE & WASHINGTON AVENUE BROOKLYN, NY
Any questions please call (917) 689-0747

  • Shouldn't we encourage cyclist to stay off Atlantic. This sounds like a horrible idea. I would love to be involved if it was moved to the park or a bike lane somewhere....
  • You don't have to ride on Atlantic to get there, ride on Washington, or walk your bike a few blocks, or do what I am going to do and just walk, my knee is bothering me and so I can't ride my bike, but I will be going to support the family and shed light that these horrific accidents shouldn't happen if people looked before opening their car door.
