So I just got home to find an email that the date has been postponed. I guess getting hit by a UPS truck is a valid excuse. Nonetheless, I'm keeping the kir royale in mind for when it's rescheduled.

Lillet is a delicious summer apertif - a fortified wine with a little herb and citrus flavor. It's sweet, in the way a well-made Manhattan or whiskey sour is - actually I forget which of those I kinda like - made with fresh orange, simple syrup, and good hooch.
