There is still time to audition for the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music CHORALE. This is a sure way to be "in community" with other Brooklynites who enjoy choral singing. There is still time to audition if you contact the director Nellie Vuksic or perhaps show up before practice starts (like 6:30 PM or so on Monday nights).

Auditions for the Fall 2010 semester start on Monday, September 20 at 6:30 pm. If you want to schedule an audition for the Chorale please call the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music registrar at 718-622-3300 x10. About the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale:
A dynamic chorus with high musical standards, the Conservatory Chorale explores and performs a rich variety of musical styles, a cappella and with orchestra, from the Renaissance to the present. It is open by audition to Conservatory students and members of the community.
Music Director Nelly Vuksic has conducted extensively in the USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia. She has collaborated with musical organizations including American Composers Orchestra, New York Choral Society, the UN Singers, and the Americas Vocal Ensemble, which she founded.
Repertoire and Dates for 2010-2011 Season:
AMERICANA: American Choral Treasures Old and New
Music from the great American choral tradition; much-loved favorites as well as rarely-performed gems. Composers will include Leonard Bernstein, Randall Thompson, Stephen Foster, Aaron Copland, William Billings, Elliott Carter, Charles Ives, Irving Fine and Samuel Barber.
