Brooklyn DoGooder Awards has great local nominees

The Brooklyn Community Foundation is running the Brooklyn DoGooder Awards. You should check them out, and vote if you are so inclined. It's great to see so many fantastic advocates and community members represented there.

The site: http://dogoodrighthere.org/

You can vote 5 times a day until October 15.
In keeping with our motto to "Do Good Right Here," the first annual Brooklyn Do Gooder Awards campaign celebrates the altruism, philanthropy and commitment of five Brooklyn Do Gooders who are working toward a stronger Brooklyn. From now through September 30, 2010, we invite the larger Brooklyn community to submit nominations for those who they believe embody the highest value of community service and philanthropy; exceptional individuals who display an outstanding sense of giving back locally--with time, talent and/or charity. After a public voting period from October 1-October 15, 2010, judges will select five winners from among 20 finalists. The Foundation will then publicly honor the winners at the Foundation's anniversary celebration on November 3, 2010 at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.

  • I've tried twice to vote and the site seems to be down.
  • Apparently, they had some problems. They sent an email out. It should be back up and running.
