Recent DUMBO Assault

I am a reporter with the NYCity News service who cover the DUMBO/Brooklyn Heights/ Boerum Hill neighborhoods.
I am writing an article on a recent crime that happened on Oct 9th when a woman was attacked and robbed on Plymouth Street and Anchorage Place in DUMBO

It seems that the security cameras installed were not working when the crime happened and I would like to highlight this issue in my article.

If anybody has an information about this attack, if you know the victim or witnessed the event, or have previous experiences with crime in the area please contact me.

dumbobo

Dumbo is not a safe place, I have worked there for years. I heard a lot of crimes going on, most of which never got on any media. I saw a vendor woman crying near High street A, C station at around 10 am last year, because someone just pointed her with a gun and robbed her while there were no people passing for seconds. I saw police on scene of bank robbery attempt at Savior bank in the middle of Dumbo.

Some back streets have no people walking at all espeically on weekends execetp some tourists, whom can be the targets of such crime. By the way, there're some big housing projects blocks away, which many people don't know. No safe place in New York.
