More About Yankee Fair:
On the day of Yankee Fair, the Orange Street block between Hicks and Henry Streets and the lower floors of the Plymouth Church campus are transformed into a fairground of activities and shopping. This daylong event features a festive mix of children's rides and games, home cooking and handcrafted gifts, and a shopping extravaganza of antiques, collectibles, vintage and designer clothing, prepared foods, books, toys and gently used children's clothing.
Proceeds from this year's Yankee Fair will support renovations to Plymouth's historic, and therefore old, buildings. The Christian Help Committee will match up to $10,000 of the proceeds with a grant to -- and divided equally between -- these local charities: Brooklyn Young Mothers' Collective, which provides disadvantaged young mothers with a comprehensive set of services focused on educational attainment and social development, and Christian Help in Park Slope, an organization dedicated to helping the poor, the homeless, and those in emergency situations in Brooklyn, through the gifts of food and shelter.
Admission is free for adults. Children's activity bracelets, providing admission to all kids' activities, are available for $16 per child, $30 for two, $40 maximum per family.
