Join your friends and neighbors for an evening of song and good cheer at the Fort Greene Association's (FGA) Annual Holiday Party Pot Luck! Admission is FREE, bring your favorite dish (no cooking or heating available on premises) and we will provide the beverages!

Date: December 3, 2010

Time: 7:30 PM - 11 PM

Location 138 South Oxford Street (between Atlantic Avenue & Hanson Place)

The evening's festivities includes:

Children's Holiday Party: Studio G (ground floor)

Holiday performances by the Brooklyn Music School's and the Fort Greene Music Scene's students and story time with Sharon Robinson, daughter of Brooklyn Dodger's Baseball Legend Jackie Robinson. Babysitters are provided.

The Adult Holiday Party: Great Oak Room (2nd floor)

Performances by the Fort Greene Quartet, caroling, dancing, and our exciting Neighborhood Merchant Raffle! Don't miss this year's spectacular Fort Greene Merchant Raffle. Generous prizes of gift certificates for dining, shopping and services right here in Fort Greene. Last year we gave away $6000 worth of raffle prizes! Come prepared to purchase (cash) chances for your own winning holiday experience. Proceeds go to this year's Christmas dinners for the needy in Fort

Greene.

In addition to bringing your covered pot luck dish for the party, the FGA is asking guests to bring canned goods which will be donated to local food pantries. Local pantries have been helping to provide food for those who would otherwise go hungry, providing food for well over 100,000 meals a year. Top ten items of need are pasta sauce, parmalat (shelf stable) milk, peanut butter, tuna fish, dry pasta, baby food, canned vegetables, dry beans, canned meats. Additionally dry pet food is a huge help to families whose pets often go hungry or are given up to high kill shelters as result of family hardship. Please give in this Season of Giving.
