Last minute, but is anyone up for Vietnamese food in Sunset Park for brunch tomorrow? Pitu, Mrs. C and I were thinking of going around noon.

  • I'll be at Mr C's bike shop in Sunset Park around brunch time. What's the name of the place and where is it? I will try and stop by to say hello.

I don't think they had them at the place we had lunch at, but I got a good one at another place later for a snack (I'm secretly a hobbit).
  • Was out of town, but I'm into doing this again if others are inclined. From Banh Mi to Bun Ga Gary, my palate for Vietnamese is always primed.

I have only been to Gia Lam in Brooklyn C-Town. Where did y'alls go? I need to get there more.

Gia Lam is no more, replaced by Gia Lam II a few blocks down. We were going to go there, but after reading some negative reviews (not as good as the old one) online, we tried Ti-An Vietnamese Restaurant, which was good but not stellar. I think we can do better, so I'd rather try Gia Lam II or Ba Xuyen or something next time. Mrs. C and I went to Century 21 after on 86th St in Bay Ridge and stopped into Pho Hoai Bay Ridge Restaurant on 4th Ave for a banh mi, which was excellent.
  • Thanks for the detail 'vore. Keep us posted on future outings.
