Variety store going out of business on Flatbush

I just stopped into the variety store on Flatbush that is going out of business. As everyone already knows, Crunch is buying that space plus the pattie place next door. I talked to the guy at the store and he said that they are looking to move to Vanderbilt or Washington, but they haven't found a place yet. If anyone hears of any leads, let them know! I have always found them to be super nice in there and hope they can stay in the hood.

  • But we also have some new things coming in, including a 24-hour Dunkin Donuts at Flatbush & St. Marks. Apparently, new versions of the St. Marks Bistro and the accompanying bar are in the process of coming back. And does any one know what's happening at the old bike store? Looks like another restaurant.

The last rumor that I've heard is that a bank- I think Commerce- will be coming in under the condos on Flatbush between Prospect & 7th.

    Any other rumors out there?
