Know a tenants' rights lawyer? We need some advice!

We have an issue with our landlord and would like to consult with a lawyer or someone well-versed in tenants' rights. Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

  • The state attorney general's office (now Eric Schneiderman) has a bunch of online guides if your problem is a common one. Look under Resources for tenants rights. You used to be able to call them and get someone to talk to, although they have a main number for inquiries. They also have links to refer you to reputable attorneys.

Also, South Brooklyn Legal Services may be able to advise.

  • Second South Brooklyn Legal Services (although they have certain requirements you must meet) If they cannot help you can contact David Kaminsky (http://www.davidakaminsky.com/).

  • If you're in a rent stabilized apartment you can check out:
