Apply for the 2011 Leadership Training Institute

the Crown Heights Community Mediation Center has extended the deadline for applications for the 2011 Leadership Training Institute until January 14th.

The Leadership Training Institute is a GREAT OPPORTUNITY for people who care about their neighborhood. It is a free program aimed at bringing together community members who are dedicated to improving Crown Heights and interested in strengthening their leadership skills. Through LTI, participants will meet with trainers who are experts in their fields on a variety of topics, including networking, community organizing, grant writing and fundraising, coalition building, working with the media, and event planning. Participants will be able to put their newly acquired skills to use by organizing a community project at the end of the Institute. Participants will come away with concrete skills as well as important connections to other neighborhood leaders.

LTI begins February 2nd, and will run most Wednesdays through the spring from 4-7pm. Applications can be downloaded HERE, or on our blog, crownheightsediationcenter.blogspot.com.
