Rubin Pavilion, 1st FloorAcclaimed poet Ntozake Shange, author of the award-winning play for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf: a choreopoem, joins cultural critic, urbanista, and writer Michaela angela Davis for an engaging conversation discussing inspirations for Shange’s past and current work. Shange will also do a reading from her most recent book, Some Sing, Some Cry. Tickets, which include Museum admission, can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com for $10; $6 for members and cultural colleagues. Seating is limited, and advance ticket purchase is recommended.
