Construction Yard/Studio Bldg theft last night.

Last night the Daffodil construction yard on Bergen at Vanderbilt ws broken into. The thieves stole a bunch of tools, then used some of them to do alot of damage, then break into my artist's studio building next door at 651 Bergen. They didn't take anything from us except a roll of chain link fence, but mostly did alot of damage. The construction lot lost alot of tools and equipment.

Anyone doing construction work in the 'hood {and who isn't?} lock your stuff up carefully, theft season has begun. :x

This has happened to the house next door to me 3 times already. After the third time they finally put a big lock on the door.

There was a rash of break ins in the nabe this week. We had our car broken into (along with 6-7 others acc to 77th prec) on Monday night. "End of the month" was given as the excuse. They got 80 cents out of our cup holder. (I tell my wife to not leave anything visible to no avail). $249 for the window.

Talking to my neighbors, I found out that there was also a breakin on Dean between Vanderbilt and Underhill a few days before ours, they also took tools and electronics. The cops, BTW have been not very helpful. It;'s now *three days later*, and I still haven't been successful getting a complaint number for my tenants insurance. I've called them an average 4 times a day for it, and am always told to "call back later". This is like insult upon injury. :x

Theft season is here in full force. Utilize strong locks, and keep an eye out for anything strange or unusual. Please call the police {our only option} if you see or hear anything "wrong". THANK YOU!

Get Multi-Locks or Medecos and a big ass dog. A screaching alarm system doesn't hurt either. Maybe even a hidden video cam.

I was on hold with the police station {77th} for OVER AN HOUR yesterday, and still they are not able to provide me with a Complaint Report number. I was passed from one person to the other a few times, with no results whatsoever. The robbery was reported on the morning of the 1st. It's now the 5th.

Anyone have Leticia James contact info? I'm at the end of my patience with the police, this is really getting frustrating. :evil:

thought about going in and doing it in person. they cant pass you around than. i dont think and bring your dogs too . so this way if they make ya wait too long say they'll have to shit in their offices lol.
