If you are ever on Myrtle Ave between Adelphi and Clermont you must stop by a new bakery called Cake Joy. I had the best red velvet cupcake I ever had and I have had them all.That is all I will say.I live in Clinton Hill and it was worth the trek.

ROAD TRIP! Have been jonesing for a good red velvet fix - last decent one was back in December in South Carolina.

For the love of all that is holy (grains), I want a bread bakery.

BG - the only good bread bakery even within consideration is don on Court Street (Caputo). Otherwise, I haul over to Royal Crown off 65th Street and 14th Avenue. So the trip isn't a total time drain, I go to the Italian wholesale place (Coluccios)on 60th and the fruit market on 6th and Ft. Hamilton. We definitely could use SOMETHING closer.

Oh boy! We agree on something. This neighborhood desperately needs a bread bakery.
