Kings County Cinema Society is wrapping up a month of Black History Month-themed programs tonight with Melvin Van Peebles' amazing debut THE STORY OF A 3-DAY PASS. 1968 French New Wave-inspired romance about a black American GI on leave in France, who enjoys a weekend getaway with a Parisian girl and is demoted for his act of miscegenation.
Director and critic Brandon Harris (Filmmaker Magazine, Hammer to Nail blog) will introduce this unsung classic.
