The Founder’s Ball is an engaging event that has the potential to raise tens of thousands of dollars to get the Pride Center off the ground, into its own space and delivering much needed programming and services to our community. There will be a silent auction, performances, an open bar and opportunities to meet and interact with a variety of interesting people who share your commitment to LGBT issues and the Pride Center.

All of us are familiar with Manhattan’s LGBT Center. We are trying to replicate that model right here in Brooklyn – to tackle the unique needs of Brooklyn's LGBT community.

The Pride Center will be a place for all of us, but it will be an especially vital resource to those in our community most in need of assistance and support, including LGBT people who are navigating the bureaucratic hurdles to adoption and surrogacy, raising children without the protections and benefits of marriage, struggling with addiction or living with HIV and AIDS. Moreover, it will be a lifeline for those LGBT teenagers who have no one in their lives to tell them that it gets better.
