Housing Works Coming to Fifth and Garfield
A branch of Housing Works is going to be opening up in that old kitchens and baths store on the corner of Fifth and Garfield. They're having a drive at the end of the month, too.

This brings me so much joy, you have no idea! YES! Love Housing Works!

This is good news. I never liked donating my stuff to the Salvation Army, and only did so because it was close by.
Housing Works does great work

I wish it were a housing works book store, but I enjoy all of their stores so I'm glad to have any join the 'hood.

Oh! This is such great news! Thanks for letting us know--I just saw the construction going on today and hoped that something great would be going in the space. Yay!!

YEAH!
Only a great organization like Housing Works could lift the negative feeling people have about that storefront, or rather, the previous occupants.
YEAH!
I'll be very very happy to donate there. OQ, don't you think they'll have books too?

YEAH!I'm guessing this will be more of a thrift store that has some books than a bookstore, like the one on Crosby that's just books with tables and a little coffee shop in the back. Love that place.

I think there's an e-recycle today at the Key Food parking lot.Happy to read about Housing Works! But, I'm also happy to read about this e-recycle event (although getting my husband to part with his collection of old cellphones is going to take more than a day's preparation, so next time.) Pitu, how did you find out about the event? Are these regular things offered by a particular organization?
Howdy, Stranger!
