Alchemy

I gotta say, I've tried this place a few times now, love the atmosphere but the menu is limited, the food just okay, the beer list boring and yet everything is horribly overpriced. Never again.

  • I like it fine. It's a good relaxed atmosphere to meet friends for lunch.

  • Nah, it sucks.

  • Veggie burger completely soaked thru the bun with grease, and mussels gave my gf food poisoning.

    One and done.

  • You know who sucks for brunch? Thistle Hill. I went yesterday and the burger was dry as a bone, flavorless, and overdone. My wife's mushroom panini had three thin mushrooms and all bread. We ordered a side of bacon and it looked and tasted like it could have come from Purity Diner. Fucking boring ass meal. Won't be back.

  • Wow Old Time BK you're pissed! I go here often for brunch and always have a great time. Yeah the menu doesn't change but whatever, the chrizo eggs are epic, so is the huevos rancheros and the french toast is great too. The burger is what I get whenever i'm hungover and it totally hits the spot. The bloody mary they make is fantastic too and its an entire pint glass.

  • I don't like to rag on small businesses normally. I just can't get on board with this place and have given them many chances. Love the atmosphere. It's just not worth the time or money for me at least. I'd rather just go to Bark for a better burger and better beer and much cheaper. But to each their own.

  • Fair enough. I haven't tried Bark's burger yet? I assume you think its pretty good? I do like Melt's burger as well.

  • Keeeeeerazy. Thistle Hill rocks. I'm there all the time for lunch and brunch. It's amazing.

  • Thistle Hill fan as well.

Also: Alchemy got a B grade from BOH. Another reason to avoid it.

  • Had a nice lunch at Alchemy recently. Don't think it was any more or less expensive than most places like it. Wonder how it got a "B."

  • I really love Alchemy's burger and fries. That and a glass of red wine is a nice way to end a rough day.
