arches at park entrance?

they're big and white, arches, look like they could be the frame for a tent, all along the entrance 15th street. anyone know what they are?

As a very long time PP user I am very grateful for what Topper has accomplished over the last 25+ years. I know, I know, there are too many fences, too many barbeques, etc. but many people do not have any idea of how derelict the park was decades ago. It is now rare to find dead bodies, human and otherwise, and the exhibitionist don't hang out on the hill above the kettle ponds. there are no packs of feral dogs living in the park & the police don't coop there anymore. Topper's equable temperament & vision of Park use for everyone is a model for true public servants.

The money raised at the Toast goes to the Park, not to Topper, via the project Park Alliance. If I had the bucks, I'd toast Topper too.
