Event: The Birds of Woodlawn (part of the Bronx Birds and Trees Tour Series)

Join us for a morning birdwalk through Woodlawn with two expert birding guides: NYC Audubon’s Peter Joost and Joseph McManus, Bronx resident and avid bird watcher. Look for early spring migrants and year-round residents on the cemetery grounds, which are home to one of the

largest collection of trees in any urban setting.

Date/Time: Sunday, April 10, 8:00 a.m.

Cost: $15 per person, $10 for seniors and students, children under 6 are FREE

Location: Meet at The Woodlawn Cemetery’s Jerome Ave. entrance (near Bainbridge Ave., across from the last stop on the #4 train).

Directions: The Woodlawn Cemetery is the last stop on the IRT #4 train. The cemetery is also accessible from the Metro North Railroad Harlem Line (Woodlawn Station). For those traveling by car, Woodlawn can be reached from the E. 233rd St. exit off the Major Deegan (#13) and the Bronx River Parkway (#10).
