Infants (6-12 months) needed for Research Study

To qualify for the study, children should:

• be 6-12 months old

• be typically-developing, and have no history of neurologic or learning problems

• have normal hearing

This study examines brain processing of sound. Results of this study may contribute to the clinical management of infants, children, and adults with hearing loss.

Responses to sound will be recorded using small sensors placed on your child’s scalp with gel or saline. Sounds will be presented via loudspeaker at normal conversational levels. Your child will play with toys or watch a video during testing.

The test takes one session of 1 to 3 hours. You will be paid $20/hour for your child’s participation.
