Ok, I red the FAQs and I can't load a photo as an avatar.

1) It keeps telling me that "the email address I am using is already registered to somebody else (um, that would be ME, thankyouverymuch)
2) I am incorrectly identifying the anti-Spam icon (I think I can tell the difference between a blue earth or a red earth)
3) my image needs to be less than 29kb (I checked - it's ~21kb).


WTF? I'm a reasonably intelligent person, why am I ready to scream? :?

Work-around: Upload the photo to a photo server such as photobucket and hotlink it.

maybe I'll be hotlink motivated in the morning. Or, I'll just remain a mystery

There are also maximums for the dimensions of the avatar.

Thanks, WhyFi, but one of the admins wrote back and told me they are having the same problem and are looking into it.
