We are pleased and excited to hold this year's spring market under the historic cobblestoned DUMBO block called "The Archway", right by the Park and the River. This will be happening Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 11am - 6pm (rain or shine), and is FREE to the public.

Nicknamed 'Shop the Archway', BKCC continues into its third year of the semi-annual series to bring stellar hand-makers together from across the Northeast - from Maine to DC - to show and sell the best of their collections at accessible prices. Curated carefully, BKCC makes sure to represent products that are both high quality, original in their conception AND NOT your old run-of-the-mill street fair fare.

In the last few weeks, we've got these updates and breaking news to offer:

* Yelp.com and Recycle-a-Bicycle come on board: Yelp will help support, as they have always done in the past, and Recycle-a-Bicycle will be at the Market talking to market-goers and handing out materials about their wonderful non-profit. BKCC is a fan of two-wheels!

* Local bands and musicians will be playing acoustic sets all day long, at the entrance to the Market, to promote the upcoming inaugural Brooklyn Independent Music Festival (September 16 - 18 at Littlefield). TAKING BAND APPLICATIONS NOW, btw... http://bkindiefest.org

* Best Raffle EVER: Participating vendors are donating one piece each to our raffle; ALL proceeds will be donated to local animal rescue start-up organization Ready For Rescue, who advocates for dogs and cats who are adoptable but languishing in the city kill shelters. Amazing crafts will be available here, with each one's value ranging from $20 - $60. Raffle tickets only 5 for $4.00! View donated items HERE (more being added)

* Poloppo engages young children with crafty activities while offering a place for parents and guardians to relax - or shop while their kid is creating! They will also offer craft kits for sale, for families to take home and enjoy.
