  • Hey Everyone, this is Gary.

I am feeling under the weather the last week and Free Comic Book Day was very busy, so I'm still not 100% and so I'll be delaying the radio program until I feel better and have more time to prepare.

Remember there is no Radio Event at Brooklyn Comics on May 10th, 2011.

I'll post the start date when I'm feeling better.

    Thanks,

    Gary

  • Hey Gary,

Radio shows were my hobby in the 40's. I used to go over to NY, especially on Sunday afternoon & evenings. I was a regular at "The Shadow", "Quick as a Flash","Juvenile Jury,","Carmen Cavallero", "Robert Merrill","Crime Doctor",

"U.S. Steel Hour" (saw Paul Whiteman there). Occasionaly went over during the week and saw "Kate Smith" among others. (She insisted on the orchestra and singing guests to dress formal for the audience.)The Lone Ranger & The Green Hornet came from Detroit & I think Chicago so I did not see them. I did see Arthur Godfrey once when they started TV shows. Radio was better! 8)
