Bagel No Hole
So disappointing. I stopped into Bagel Hole about 20m ago. Needless to say, they were busy. Some old women had just purchased the last 18 bialis. Then someone bought the remaining everything bagels. All I got was two onion "bagels." They were not really bagels at all. Just round discs of dough. They had no hole. Is it a bagel if there is no hole? Not surprisingly, it was not fully cooked. Outside was not crusty. As I said, just a big ball of dough.
Ugh.
Anywhere else I can get a serious bagel in this neighborhood? Any new places? And, no, I don't consider Bagel Delight a serious bagel.

I agree that the elderly are a real problem. They're absolutely everywhere, breathing up the air and clearing out the bialys. The problem seems especially widespread this spring; I thought the city was going to spray for them or trap them in the park or something.
I've tried talking about this issue with my congressperson and clergy and gotten nowhere. I'm tired of hiding inside from their old wrinkly hands and melted candle visages - can't I just live, grandpa/grandma?
I agree with the OP that Bagel Delight is not serious about addressing the issue.
Let me know if you find a ethically sound solution.

Rather than waiting for the slow machinery of city hall to start trapping and spraying the bialy hoarding elderly, each of us can do our part by trapping at least one elderly person. I recommend using a trap comprised of a mobility scooter and a gift basket filled with discount coupons for metamucil, the clapper, and medical alert. After trapping, tag and deliver the oldster to Road Scholar (formerly known as Elderhostel), which offers to humanely process and relocate old persons from our area to a new habitat in Florida.

I confess! I turn 65 next month and yes, it's true... I bought two bialys just yesterday, and ate one this very morning!
Where should I turn myself in for aged cleansing?

Try Terrace Bagel on PPW.

I think I will have to give them a try.

I once bought two dozen bagels there during morning rush, totally depleting the pumpernickel and nearly cleaning them out of everythings. I probably won't do that again, since the wounds I got in the back of my head from the laser-intense hatred of the customers behind me still haven't totally healed.
Get there earlier is what I'm saying.

Sounds like what the OP got were what are called onion boards. They're not made like bagels, don't taste like bagels and aren't meant to be bagels. Better luck next time.

I would imagine part of this influx of customers/inability to handle the volume is due to the groupon they ran last week. Hopefully they can get it together.
Howdy, Stranger!
