Hello neighbors!

It's here...the Friends of Carroll Gardens Library's first big fundraiser. The huge book sale is on Saturday, May 14, Love Your Library Day, from 10 AM-4 PM, 396 Clinton Street at the corner of Union Street. The community is invited to get great deals on thousands of books, enjoy free entertainment, and music from Karen K & the Jitterbugs, and grab a snack at the bake sale! Assemblywoman Joan Millman, a former school teacher and librarian, will be on hand to greet the crowd and do a reading.

* Music with local favorite Karen K and the Jitterbugs 10:00

* Reading by local author Emily Jenkins 11:00

* Reading by Assemblywoman Joan Millman- former teacher and librarian and strong advocate for our libraries 11:45

* Reading by Carol Troha- local resident and director of the Cobble Hill Playgroup 1:30 PM

* Reading by author and local resident Mari Takabayashi 2:00 PM

There is also a silent auction featuring signed historical novels, books by local authors, as well as services from neighborhood businesses. In fact, early birds can go online and enjoy bidding now at:

A great new addition to the Silent Auction is a manuscript critique worth $250 by the famed Sackett Street Writers' Worskhop.

We hope to see you there! Nearest subway station is the G and F trains at the Carroll Street station.
