The Montauk Club to host oral historian Michael Takiff for a reading from his “ambitious and impressive” biography of Bill Clinton

The Montauk Club is pleased to announce an appearance by noted scholar and oral historian Michael Takiff as part of our acclaimed readings series, No Book Jackets Required. Mr. Takiff will be reading from his celebrated biography of former U.S. President Bill Clinton, A Complicated Man: The Life of Bill Clinton as Told by Those Who Know Him.

The reading is scheduled for June 15, 2011, at 8 PM in the historic 120 year-old Ballroom at the Montauk Club, 25 Eighth Avenue, Park Slope, Brooklyn (2/3 Trains to Grand Army Plaza). Michael Takiff is an independent scholar and oral historian whose writing has appeared in The New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and The Huffington Post. A graduate of Yale University and formerly a comedy writer and comedian, Takiff is the author of the oral history Brave Men, Gentle Heroes: American Fathers and Sons in World War II and Vietnam.
