PS work from home buddies

I found this thread http://brooklynian.com/forum/park-slope/ps-work-from-home-peopleslunch-buddy?postid=419669 from 3 years ago so I thought I'd resurrect the idea.

Is there anyone working at home in PS (or Greenwood Heights or Windsor Terrace) who might like to get together during the day (it doesn't have to be lunchtime, in fact early afternoon between 1-3 tends to work best for me) for coffee or food?

It does indeed seem to be true that making friends is tricky when one's only officemate is their dog. And I'm shy. And not a going out kind of person. And I do freelance web design, fwiw.

  • I work from home in the Slope too. I love not having to commute and being in the neighborhood during the day, but yes it can make you feel a little isolated - an odd sensation in a city of 8 million people.

There's a Meetup group called The Park Slope Home Office Lunch Club Meetup Group. The link is here

  • Right. The problem with that meetup is it meets once every other month and only 3 or 4 people go each time. Not really what I had in mind as far as upping my social life so I thought asking on here would get a better response.

  • Canyon, I may be up for this. My work schedule can be crazy at times though, but as they say, if you build it -they will come :D Start a meet up!

  • I mean it doesn't even have to be a meetup that's a large group. It could be me and 1-2 other people deciding to meet for food, but it would be nice if a bunch of people were interested so I can do that many times over! hehe.

    PM me, though!

  • Sounds like it could be interesting. I would be game.
