The Fashion Collective ages 8-12

Students interested in learning the ins and outs of the fashion industry will not only learn to look the part, but will learn the lingo, explore a bit of textile science, and learn the processes of how a garment is created "From Fiber to Fabric." During the course participants will be exposed to: fashion industry vocabulary, swatches, pattern diagrams, textile thread counters, Fashion History, and digital photography. We will also take 2 trips each week to visit local show rooms and design houses.

After gaining an understanding of what fashion is, all participants will pull together garments that encompass both synthetic and natural fibers for a Photo Shoot with an industry professional!
