How safe is Park Slope? — Brooklynian

How safe is Park Slope?

edited November -1 in Park Slope
Hello, everybody
My husband and I are considering the purchase of a PS apartment close to Grand Army Plaza. We are totally new to Brooklyn in general and PS in particular. Any advice as to what is the current safety situation at day and night time? What about the subways? Your input would be really appreciated!

  • its safe and has good schools for kids and if youre close to the grand army plaza stop. its the 2 and 3 its okay. and if you can walk to the 7ave stop there is the q train which is great! and i'm jealous i love the restaurants in the area!
  • hmmm. close to GAP...
    what are the cross streets?
some brokers advertise Prospect Heights as park slope

park slope is like a snowglobe town
    nothing really bad ever happens

if something bad does happen. it is cleaned up tout suite!

even your neighborhood park slope coke head is very friendly and likable

just shake it every once in a while to see the snow fall

  • Yeah, lock the door. And hope they don't have blasters.
Thanks for that link, Carnivore. I miss DaveB's postings (and love his blog), but you do a good job, too.
