Good Place to Meet in Prospect Park - Need Suggestions

I am planning to throw a party for my friend in Prospect Park this weekend. Any suggestions on the best area to have a meeting location? I would love it to be somewhere easy to get to so that people can drop in and out whenever they can.

  • 1. The picnic house. There's a huge field directly behind it where people have weddings, and to the side there is a BBQ area with tables. ALso you can buy ice cream from the cafe. Also, BATHROOMS.

    2. The dog pond. Not as easy to find but there's a nice large tree near it and who doesn't like watching dogs jump in water all afternoon.

    3. Concert Grove. I always see people having birthday parties for kids over there, I don't know if you have to reserve it with someone or just show up first. Awful lot of asian weddings go on here too. Heh.

  • I love the area of vale of cashmere the design is very different from rest of the park. beautiful place and very secluded but that is the problem. the seclusion sucks and i wish more folks would go there to make normalish part of the park.

  • I thought the seclusion sucks were the whole reason people went there.

  • AW-

Vidro has a point: Some people might not want to be sucked in the open.

  • ahahahaahaahahaha. I <3 this thread.

  • ah you know what i mean, there are freaking hotels and homes for those type of things, park should be enjoy by everyone!!! god i stop going to the vale of cashmere for that reason. I'

m like why dudes looking at me like this LOL.

  • It wouldn't take much for the Parks Dept to get lots of people to use that area. They could just throw events once an a while (like free Jazz music) and the horny guys would go elsewhere, at least for the night of the event.
