Adaptive Yoga for Children with Special Needs

Yoga is wonderful for everyone, but can be especially beneficial for children with special needs.

Caitlin LaRussa is an Occupational Therapy student, dancer, and trained yoga instructor (Forrest Yoga and Yoga for the Special Child®). She has taught children's and adult yoga classes and has worked with children with Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Dysfunction, and emotional challenges. Her sessions are tailored specifically to meet each child's needs and preferences, and integrate breathing, singing/chanting, yoga poses, and relaxation.

Sessions are designed to strengthen and stretch the entire musculoskeletal system, balance the nervous system, increase breathing efficiency, improve body awareness, improve communication skills, increase each student’s ability to self regulate, and provide a fun and engaging experience!

30-45 minute sessions are conducted in your home. Private and small-group sessions available.

Please contact Caitlin at [email protected] to set up an appointment or phone interview.
