I'm writing to bring your attention to the work of Angelo Merendino. He is a very dear (and talented) friend of mine who has been documenting his wife's battle with breast cancer. The photos are intense, but they go way beyond cancer - they are about love and every day life in New York City. My friend has entered his portfolio into an international photography competition and his goal is to get 10,000 votes by July 29th when the competition ends.
